Services Sundays at 9:30AM & 10:45AM
What is your worship like?
Our worship team provides an inspirational, contemporary style of music. In our morning services we blend current modern worship songs with the great soul stirring hymns of yesterday. You will see and hear guitars, keyboards, sax, vocalists and drums, even congas! We try our best to do what we think blesses God and brings people closer to Him.
You’ll see people around with their hands up or down, with their eyes open or closed. Some are singing loudly while others are just humming along! Some people may come forward to the altar area as an expression of their need for God’s touch or to convey their love for Him!
Do I have to dress up?
No, you don't. We encourage people to dress comfortably. For some, that may mean dressing up, but for some it means wearing casual clothes. The New Testament simply instructs us to dress modestly and decently, so we don’t burden people unnecessarily by expecting them to dress up in fancy clothes they don’t normally wear just to "go to church." We invite you to come, be comfortable, and enjoy learning about God with us.
Do you have childcare?
Yes. The Nursery is open every Sunday morning from 9:30 - 11:45AM. You can give the nursery volunteer your cell number for texts if you are needed. All nursery worker volunteers have submitted to the appropriate child abuse background checks out of love and care for all our children..
Is the church handicapped accessible?
Yes. The entrance at the front of the building has a smooth pavement to the door, reserved parking, easy access to the sanctuary and movable seating for comfortable placement of any size chair. The church has offices, classrooms, and very modern accessible restrooms on the same floor. We have our banquet room and children and youth rooms on a lower level which are entirely accessible as well from the rear entrance which opens to this lower level.
Will I have to stand up in front of people?
Most churches have figured out that if they call on their visitors to stand up during the service and introduce themselves, that you might as well just show them to the door. It’s a bit awkward to say the least. So while the people at Armbrust Wesleyan are genuinely interested in getting to know you and want to make you feel welcome, we will never call on you or embarrass you in any way. You can relax and enjoy meeting people at your own pace.
How do I become a member?
Two to three times a year, the church holds a Discover Armbrust lunch after a Sunday service. This is a one hour get to know us time. We share our vision, values, and history. Then, if you are interested we have a membership class on a following Wednesday evening that meets for an hour and a half to discuss our beliefs and membership commitments. At the end of the meeting you will not be pressured, you will be given a short form to complete and return to our Lead Pastor if you would like to join. New members are recognized in worship on a subsequent Sunday.
